Jackson Library offers many accessible resources for individuals with disabilities that are compliant with WCAG 2.0 standards. The Jackson Library's website and research guides are built on a platform also compliant with accessibility standards and can be navigated via tabbing and using enter or arrow keys.
Direct links to library databases can be made available for individuals if they experience any difficulty navigating the library website. Jackson Library databases contain thousands of accessible articles, including many in a read-aloud format and many in a PDF format compliant with screen readers. Please contact Laura Kelsey at 765-677-2403 for more information or reach out to the Research Info Desk at 765-677-2603 with any questions.
If you need help retrieving printed material in the library, you may arrange to have physical materials gathered and placed on hold for you, ready for immediate checkout when you arrive. Please call the Library Research Desk at 765-677-2603 or email jacksonlibrary@indwes.edu to request that materials be gathered for you due to a disability.
If you are unable to pick up materials yourself, you can designate someone who may pick them up and let the library know. Please contact a librarian at the Research Desk or via email at jacksonlibrary@indwes.edu to arrange for pickup. If you require extended borrowing time on any materials, that request can also be made through the same channels.
Students or faculty can request an appointment with a Research Librarian via the form linked on the library website: https://library.indwes.edu/appointment
