Finding Conference Proceedings Using QUICKSearch
Enter a keyword on the library's home page such as engineering and hit enter.
On the left side of the screen under Limit To, check Full Text
Under I Want Only ... select Show More and under Name select Conference Materials, then select the Update button.
There will either be a Full Text Link to the proceeding or a Check Online Availability link to the item. The Check Online Availability link will either take you to the full text of the document or an abstract with a link to request the item via Interlibrary Loan.
You may limit your results by entering a date range in the From/To on Publication Date.
Another way to limit your results is to use the Limit to Subject.
Finding Conference Proceedings Using the Engineering Database
Conference proceedings may be found in the ProQuest Engineering Database. In the Advanced Search Page, enter your search term such as civil engineering. Refine your search by selecting Abstract which limits your term to keywords found in the Abstract. For a more precise search try using Subject Heading -- MAINSUBJECT. If you are unsure of whether your keywords are a subject, then select the Look Up Subjects link.
