Tips for Using Ebscohost Ebooks (Formerly NetLibrary)
Searching
red push pin: Use the advanced search, trying different terms and types of searches
available from the dropdown menu to find relevant results.
red push pin: A subject search is a very efficient search. Use the Library of Congress
subject search to locate subject terms to use in Ebsco Ebook searches.
red push pin: When searching for a specific phrase not found in a subject search, try a
table of contents search.
red push pin: A search of "All Text Fields" (the full text of the book) is best used as a
last effort when more precise searches have failed to yield results.
red push pin: When you locate a relevant book, view the subject terms in the detailed
record for additional search ideas.
Functions
red push pin: The full text of a book may be searched for terms or phrases using the
search tool in the upper right panel of the text viewer.
red push pin: Printing or emailing a section of text is limited to 60 pages.
red push pin: In order to save any notes you take, you must register and sign in.

red push pin: You may save books in a folder if you log in to a personal account.
Tips for Using Ebrary Ebooks
Search the Library Catalog to find E-Books from Multiple Databases
Go to IWU's Advanced Catalog Search, enter a subject or keywords, and choose "Electronic Books" for the location.
A subject search may find the most relevant results. To find a subject term, try the Library of Congress subject search. → Or use keywords to find a few relevant items, note their subject headings, and search again using one or more of those terms.
