To find books on a philosopher or topic...

1.  Search a keyword or words that best fit your topic.

2.  Locate one book that corresponds to your topic/person.

3.  Look at the subjects listed for that book. (see "Subjects" in image below)

4.  Click on relevant subjects to search by that specific subject.

Search the Library of Congress subject headings to find an exact subject for your topic area. This will help you find materials more focused on your topic instead of those that just mention your keywords. You can use these subject searches in the library catalog and some databases.
