Biblical Research/Exegesis: Articles

ATLA Religion Database contains journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion.  

You can also access this database at: library.indwes.edu > Databases > Religion > ATLA Religion Database

Here are some TOPIC SEARCH strategies to try:

1.  Search for a keyword about your topic combined with a Scripture Citation search for your book of the Bible (as shown below).

2.  If you find one article that seems relevant, click on one of the relevant "Subjects" listed for that article in order to search for other relevant articles.

How to conduct a SCRIPTURE SEARCH:

1.  Within ATLA, using the Advanced Search, beneath the search boxes select Subjects

2. The list of scriptures will appear in canonical order from the Old Testament to the New Testament.  You can check and search multiple books, chapters, and verses.
