To my sweet Jesus,
Where would I be without you? Do I know what is to become of me or why my life has journeyed down the paths it has taken to get me here right now? No. All I know is that you have been there with me every step of the way. Caring for me. Leading me. Protecting and teaching me. Without you, I am nothing.
Help me to honor you with my life. Help me to love those you have placed in my life, even if it isn’t always easy. Help me to love my life here, God for it is hard. I miss home and I long to go back everyday. My heart aches for it and I feel as if a piece of it is missing by being here. Please soothe my deep homesickness. It is no accident that you have placed me here for this year ~ I pray that you will reveal ‘why’ soon. Until then, I will wait patiently + remain a faithful (humble) servant.

Teach me to work in the gifts of the Spirit, that I might glorify your name
Bring hungry souls to me, that I might teach them your truth. That they might understand you in your fullness. Help me to understand your voice, so that I know whether it is you speaking or me, in my own desires. Thank you for what you’ve taught me thus far.
Lord, I desire to be like the Apostles. I have your Spirit living in me, therefore I have the same power they did. Help me to have the faith + ability to lay hands on the sick and see them be healed. I want to see signs and wonders happen, by my prayers. Teach me to work in the gifts of the Spirit, that I might glorify your name.
Help ____ + ____ as well. Help them to constantly draw nearer to you. Help them in their studies, that they would do their best because they aren’t working.

I feel so lost. I know that you love me and yet I feel as though I am nothing at all at the same time. I am selfish and I don’t think about what you want from me. All I do is become scattered when my life is so much less than what I want it to be. Lord help me to care for others like you do. Help me to know what it is that you want me to be. I don’t know what major or role I am supposed to fulfill. God please reveal your plans for my life,

Why do I feel so confused? It’s like you’re directing me 20 different ways. Won’t you make it clear to me your path. Am I obeying, or just wimping out by not jumping in? How can I understand eternity + start truly believing? If we on this campus believed for real who you are - holy cow what a difference it would make. Lord, thank you for the burden you’ve placed upon my heart - help it to burn + grow. May your will be done in my life.

Don’t let me miss the blessings you’ve already given me - they are countless.

I pray for guidance. This is a time in my life when I am making decisions that will affect my future (I am scared God). God, I want to be a missionary, but can’t you at least direct me to another appropriate area of study here @ IWU? What else do you want me to do? Teach? Social work? Counseling? God, there is such little time to waste. Where should I focus my studies… How can you best use me? What is it that you want me to bring to the mission field besides my heart? I love you, please direct me. I need to feel your guidance. I love you

There is no doubt in my mind that you are all I really need
Father,
There is no doubt in my mind that you are all I really need. Help me to keep in mind, Lord, that although things from this world try to entangle me and sometimes do, you’re always there holding me in your arms. Help me trust.
I have met some wonderful people recently. Lord, and I just pray that your blessings would be upon them and that they would be drawn near to you.
Thank you so much for everything, God! Continue to fill me with your joy. I love you, O Lord, with everything in me! Go with me, and all of us, now. I pray these things in the name of Jesus, amen.

My heart is wrought w/ anxiety over the upcoming year. I really don’t know what you want me to do. So many unknowns. Please lead me. I pray I would live in the confidence that you will put me where you want me. You did it for this year - I know you can next year. Please calm my heart. I love you and I’m excited about the changes you have evoked in my life - HARD but needed.
